State of Mississippi New Attendance Law

Happy National Custodian Day to the best!
So thankful for Mr. Larry and Mrs. Annie! We appreciate all the hard work, care, and dedication you both give each and every day. Our school is a better place because of you! Thank you for all that you do! 💚

Our first graders are learning to Make a 10 to Add! 🔟💪
We brought this strategy to life with a partner activity! One student started with dots on a ten frame and had to “ask” their partner for just enough to make a BIG 10. 🙏 Once they received what they needed, they showed off their strong 💪 TEN, while their partner held up how many they had left.
Making a 10 helps us break apart bigger addition problems into easier ones—and these mathematicians had so much fun acting it out! ➕❤️

GRADES 5–8 HALLOWEEN DANCE! 👻🎃
Get ready for a night of spooky fun, music, dancing, games, treats, and plenty of Halloween spirit!

This past Friday, we had a very special visitor in Kindergarten! 🍎 Johnny Appleseed stopped by to help us learn about the letter A and all things apples! Our students had so much fun learning, exploring, and celebrating the letter A! 🍏❤️

This week, Ms. Shelby’s 3rd period got to have class outside (and a little extra playing time) as a reward for everyone being at school Friday and being done with their powercheck! As the kids say “Perfect Attendance slays!”

Let’s GO BRAVES! 💙 A big thank-you to our high school players and cheerleaders for helping open car doors this morning! We loved seeing so many students wearing blue and showing their Braves spirit for the TC homecoming game tonight!

Constitution Day at School! 🇺🇸 A special thank-you to Mrs. Lori Lawson for taking the time to speak with our 8th grade students about the Constitution and the importance of understanding our nation’s history and government. We appreciate you sharing your time and knowledge with our students!

What a fun day in Mrs.Clayton's Class learning about animal cells using candy! Our students got creative while building edible models and learning about the different parts and functions of an animal cell. Learning science is even sweeter when you can eat your model afterward!
